Biography
Rob Jackson is a Reader in Computational Solid State Chemistry, and currently Acting Head of the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences at Keele University. He did his PhD and Postdoctoral research in the University of London (UCL and Birkbeck) before moving to Keele in the late 1980s. His research interests are in computer modelling of inorganic materials for optical and energy applications, and he regularly presents his research at international conferences, including the European Conference Series on Defects in insulating Materials, of which he is currently chair. He has around 140 publications in the peer reviewed literature.
